Sample post: Headings, quotes, lists and pictures

1 min read

This is a sample post. Edit it to practise, then delete it before the site goes live.

This post has no cover picture, so the blog list shows its title in a warm panel instead. Below are all the ways you can format your writing.

This is a heading

Choose Heading from the style menu (it says Paragraph by default) to start a new section. Use it to break a long post into parts.

This is a small heading

Choose Small heading for a part inside a section.

Bold, italic and links

Select some words, then tap B for bold, I for italic, or the link button to turn them into a link.

Quotes

Choose Quote from the style menu for words you want to stand out, like a Bible verse or something someone said to you:

This is how a quote looks. It is set larger, in italics, with a small red line above it.

Lists

Bullet points:

  • Use the bullet list button
  • Each new line is a new point
  • Press Enter twice to end the list

Numbered steps:

  1. Use the numbered list button
  2. The numbers are added for you

Pictures inside a post

Tap the + (or Insert) button in the post box and choose Picture. Add a short description of what it shows, and a caption if you like.

Three potted plants on a sunny windowsill.
A caption appears under the picture, like this.

That’s everything. Keep it simple: most posts only need paragraphs and the occasional heading.
